The invention relates to a near-field electromagnetic wave absorbing material comprising at least one plastic film and two linearly scratched thin metal films, each of which has a large number of largely discontinuous, parallel linear scratches of varying widths and spacing in many directions, one linearly scratched thin metal film having a surface resistance of 150–300 Ω / □ and the other linearly scratched thin metal film having a surface resistance of 10–50 Ω / □.
