Abstract

The invention relates to a process for collecting and storing freshwater in areas affected by saltwater intrusion, a freshwater collection system, and a procedure for operating the system to collect freshwater at times when freshwater is available, regardless of the freshwater level, the duration of freshwater availability, or the presence of stratified flow, for the purpose of providing freshwater for domestic use and production activities for people living in areas affected by saltwater intrusion.
