Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the fabrication of a eugenol-free temporary filling material for endodontic use, in which the matrix material components are separately prepared based on zinc oxide in PEG before mixing with vegetable oil and reinforcing agents, benzydamine hydrochloride and glycerin; and the catalyst material based on nanosilica, oleic acid and acetic acid as curing agents for the catalytic process. The two-component temporary filling material is supplemented with nanosilver and orange essential oil to enhance antibacterial properties without the need for eugenol. The material readily cures by the curing reaction of polyvalent metal salts reacting with organic acids or fatty acids, making it safe and easy to use in endodontics.
