Acid dyes and methods for producing them.

Abstract

The invention relates to an acid dye and a method for the production of such a dye. This method comprises the following steps: providing the dye material; adding water to the dye material to form a dye material solution, and refining the dye material solution to remove the salts in the dye material solution to less than 15% by weight; drying the refined dye material solution to form a refined dye; and adding 3 to 20 parts by weight of a coloring agent to 100 parts by weight of the dried refined dye and mixing thoroughly.
