Abstract

The invention relates to a process for producing soft pills containing turmeric starch and vine tea extract, comprising the following steps: a) preparation of raw materials, including the following steps: a1) preparation of turmeric starch; a2) preparation of vine tea extract; and a3) preparation of honey and green tea powder; b) mixing of raw materials, including the following steps: b1) dry mixing, including the step of thoroughly mixing the turmeric starch, vine tea extract, green tea powder, and other components (if any) obtained in step a) above in a defined quantity in a mixing device until a homogeneous mixture is obtained; and b2) wet mixing, including the step of adding pure honey in a defined quantity to the homogeneous mixture obtained in step b1), and kneading thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous wet mass; c) pill making and drying, including the following steps: c1) pill making, including the step of placing the homogeneous wet mass obtained in step b2) into an automatic pill making / dividing device or a manual pill making device;and c2) drying of the tablets including the drying of the tablets obtained in step c1) at a low temperature (less than 60°C) in a static drying oven to obtain soft tablets of moderate softness (i.e., moisture content between 10% and 15%); and d) packaging including the packaging of the tablets obtained in step c2) in glass jars, plastic jars or suitable containers for storage. The invention also relates to soft tablets produced by this process.
