Motor stator assembly

Abstract

The invention relates to a motor stator assembly comprising a stator core and a stator winding assembly (30). This assembly comprises a first copper winding and a second aluminum winding. The first winding (32) has a higher rated power and is directly connected to the power supply. The second winding (34), having a lower rated power, is connected via a switch. During starting, the switch closes, to combine both winding powers. When the motor reaches the set speed, the switch opens, so that the power supply is connected only to the first winding, operating at its rated power.
