Abstract

The invention relates to a display device containing a base, gate lines arranged in a first orientation on the base, and at least one line arranged in a second orientation different from the first to intersect the gate lines. An active line is arranged between the gate lines and at least one line, and overlaps both the gate lines and at least one line. The active line extends in the same direction as the gate lines and is electrically connected to the gate lines through a contact hole. This arrangement allows for the prevention and correction of short-circuit defects that may arise between the gate lines and at least one line, for example, due to particles present in the insulator during the manufacturing process, by allowing selective disconnection of the active line without destroying the primary signal lines.
