Abstract

The technology described relates to a wired electrical device, such as a smart switch or dimmer switch, powered by AC mains electricity to wirelessly control electrical loads. The device includes a power circuit on the first PCB to convert AC to DC, and an RF switch circuit on the second PCB enabling wireless communication. An actuator supports the initiation of wireless commands. A physical isolation unit separates the live voltage components to enhance user safety. The device eliminates the need for battery maintenance, supports continuous, uninterrupted operation, and can be applied in residential, commercial, and hospitality environments.
