Abstract

The invention proposes a bag-type product sorting mechanism for use in a conveyor line, consisting of a main conveyor (1) and a sorting unit (2) positioned above the main conveyor (1) to isolate the drive unit from liquids and dirt that may arise when the bag is torn or leaks, thereby reducing the risk of corrosion, rust and facilitating cleaning. The sorting unit (2) consists of a mounting plate (21) placed at an angle α; a mechanical drive unit (22) consisting of a motor (221) connected to a rotating shaft (222) via a coupling (223); and a vane unit (23) consisting of a vane (231) mounted on the rotating shaft (222) via an intermediate mounting piece (232) to periodically act on the edge of the bag and push the bag to the corresponding sorting branch. Two height adjustment mechanisms (71), (72) located at two different positions allow adjustment of the tilt angle α and height h2 of the sorting unit (2), thereby setting the working distance h3 between the lower edge of the vane (231) and the main conveyor plane (1) so that the lower edge of the vane is parallel to the conveyor plane and h3 matches the bag thickness.The mechanical drive (22) is enclosed by a housing (24) with a removable configuration to limit water and dirt and to facilitate cleaning and maintenance.
