Abstract

The invention proposes a suspended culvert and a construction process for such a culvert. The suspended culvert consists of a system of two structural frames 3 positioned on both banks, with the culvert body 7 assembled into frame 3 and participating in load bearing, where the structural load is mainly transferred to the abutment on bank 1 instead of to the channel bottom. The connection between the culvert body 7 and frame 3 includes frame section 6 and connection system 9, allowing for installation in a semi-free state and then rigid connection. The suspended culvert also has a waterproofing system 11 arranged independently at the channel bottom. The solution allows for construction without obstructing the flow, reduces pressure on the foundation, reduces the need for foundation treatment, and ensures watertightness and long-term stability.
