Abstract
The invention relates to a plate-based structure and a liquid-cooled radiator using such structure. The liquid-cooled radiator comprises a plate-based structure, a binding material, and a channel structure. The plate-based structure has numerous fins to form multiple cooling fluid pathways. The top of each of the fins has a cover and an opening. The cover encloses the cooling fluid pathways and / or the tops of the fins. The opening forms numerous water inlet and outlet openings communicating with the cooling fluid pathways. The channel structure is fixed to the cover by means of a binding material, such that the water inlet and outlet channels within the channel structure communicate with the cooling fluid pathways of the plate-based structure through the water inlet and outlet openings, respectively, to form a cooling fluid flow channel.Thanks to the cover that conceals the tops of the heat sink fins and / or coolant passages, the bonding material is prevented from flowing or being drawn into the gaps between the fins, thereby preventing the coolant passages from becoming blocked.
