Abstract

The invention proposes a desk incorporating optical elements with optical power to adjust apparent viewing distance, in which optical elements with optical power are directly integrated into the desk structure to adjust the viewing conditions of work objects during close-up study and work. The desk consists of a work surface for placing work objects and at least one optical element with optical power, positioned within the user's field of view. According to one configuration of the invention, objects in the peripheral visual field are observed through the optical element with optical power, while objects in the central visual field are still observed directly at close working distance, thereby increasing the apparent viewing distance of peripheral objects compared to the actual geometric distance.In another configuration, working objects are observed through an optical element with optical power in both the central and peripheral visual regions, thereby increasing the apparent viewing distance of the observed objects during use. The invention allows for stable and convenient improvement of observation conditions without the need for personal optical equipment and without significantly altering usual learning habits.
