Abstract

This invention proposes a process for producing a stable silver nanopowder preparation in a water-soluble oligochitosan and oligo-beta-glucan compound with growth-promoting and immune-enhancing activity using gamma radiation (Cobalt-60). The product generated by this process consists of the following steps: preparing a mixture of water-soluble oligochitosan and oligo-beta-glucan by mixing a 3% water-soluble oligochitosan solution and a 3% water-soluble oligo-beta-glucan solution in a 1:1 ratio; preparing a 1,000 ppm Ag+ solution in the water-soluble oligochitosan and oligo-beta-glucan mixture; and applying gamma radiation to reduce Ag+ ions to create silver nanoparticles (Ag°) during the synthesis of a stable 1,000 ppm silver nanopowder colloidal solution in a water-soluble oligochitosan and oligo-beta-glucan compound. Using freeze-drying (at -80°C) to create silver nanopowder product 33.A silver nanoparticle composition of water-soluble oligochitosan and oligo-beta-glucan, with a nanoparticle size of approximately 10-12 nm and a zeta potential of about 30-40 mV, stabilized in water-soluble oligochitosan and oligo-beta-glucan, promotes growth and enhances cellular and humoral immunity in poultry, including increased average weight gain, average daily weight gain rate, reduced feed conversion ratio, and increased blood immune parameters (total white blood cell count, immunoglobulin A (IgA), immunoglobulin M (IgM), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) content).
