Abstract

The invention relates to a matchstick body used in hand-held match lighters. The matchstick body is in the form of an elongated rod, formed by extrusion from a mixture of combustible, non-carbonized materials, which includes plant fibers, wood powder, binder, porous material, flavoring, and coloring agents in appropriate proportions. By not using carbonized material and adding porous material with a hollow structure, the matchstick body can be dyed in bright colors while maintaining the ability to spread flame along the length of the body after the match head is lit. The direct integration of flavoring into the material structure allows the matchstick body to release fragrance during burning. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of producing matchstick bodies by extrusion, allowing for uniform shaping and improved production efficiency.
