Abstract

This invention proposes an elastic loop knit fabric mimicking woven fabric, falling under the field of loop knit fabric engineering. The fabric is woven in a composite manner on a large-scale single-sided circular knitting machine, using loop yarn and base yarn. The loop yarn and base yarn are fed through two weaving lines to form a complete loop. The loop yarn is a pure combed short fiber, and the base yarn is a long polyester fiber combined with spandex. The loop yarn uses a loop gathering and raised yarn structure to form the loop organization, while the base yarn uses a smooth weave overlay structure to lock in the loop organization of the previous weaving line. This prevents the loop yarn within the loop organization from easily unraveling or pulling out. While still meeting the consumer's requirements for easy wearing and removal, this solution simultaneously creates a variety of styles for knitted fabrics used in outerwear.Furthermore, by adjusting the fineness based on yarn weight, needle size of different knitting machines, and corresponding yarn loop length, the thickness and weight of elastic loop knitted fabrics can be varied to meet consumers' needs for wearing in different seasons.
