Abstract
The invention relates to a heterocyclic 1,3,4-thiadiazole-s-triazine hybrid compound of formula (I), or its pharmaceutical salts, in which the 1,3,4-thiadiazole ring is linked to the 1,3,5-triazine ring via a –NH– group. The compounds are synthesized by condensation of aromatic aldehydes with thiosemicarbazide, followed by cyclization oxidation to 1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-amine under microwave irradiation, and then by sequential nucleophilic substitution with cyanuric chloride and saturated cyclic amines. The compounds exhibit significant antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus aureus and methicillin-resistant strains (MRSA), with MIC values not exceeding 128 µg / mL. Simultaneously, the compounds exhibit cytotoxic activity with low micromol IC50 and selectivity for cancer cells.
