Abstract

This invention proposes a mechanism for shifting the sighting mirror of the gunner's sight on an infantry fighting vehicle, ensuring the ability to adjust and maintain coaxial alignment between the sighting axis and the gun barrel axis under conditions of vibration and impact during vehicle maneuvering. The mechanism is designed on the principle of multi-link motion transformation, where the input rotation with an angular amplitude ranging from ±10° to +30° is transformed into small angular rotation of the mirror through a combination of a multi-link mechanical transmission chain, connecting rod, and intermediate lever mechanism. The transmission relationship is determined by the geometric ratio between eccentricity and lever length, allowing for high-resolution milli-radial mirror rotation without the need for high-ratio transmission stages. Simultaneously, the mechanism is equipped with a preloading elastic element to eliminate mechanical clearance, reduce the effect of play, and improve repeatability.Thanks to the motion transmitted through intermediate links, mechanical vibrations from the drive source are attenuated before being transmitted to the head sight, contributing to improved stability of the optical axis. The mechanism has a compact structure, high rigidity, is suitable for integration into the limited space of the head sight, and meets the requirements for operation in the harsh environmental conditions of infantry fighting vehicles. In a practical implementation, the mechanism allows for range adjustment up to ±12 millimeters and direction adjustment up to ±3 millimeters.
