Abstract

The invention relates to a process for producing a stable acid-base interface Mg-Zr oxide catalyst, differing in that it controls the heat treatment leading to the formation of a MgZrO3 perovskite intermediate and then controls the conversion of this perovskite intermediate into a MgO-ZrO2 oxide composite system with highly stable acid-base interfaces. Furthermore, the invention relates to the catalyst obtained by this process and a one-step conversion process of a high-acid index lipid feedstock into biodiesel using a stable acid-base interface Mg-Zr oxide catalyst obtained by the production process described in the application for protection.
