Abstract

The invention relates to a process for preparing a cooling massage oil in the field of pharmaceutical formulations of herbal origin, aiming to create a product capable of producing a rapid-onset cooling sensation while simultaneously providing prolonged pain relief. The process includes the following steps: separate pre-processing of the medicinal herbs including Piper betle leaves, Panax notoginseng, Dracaena cambodiana, ginger, star anise, and cloves; separate maceration and extraction of each group of medicinal herbs using pharmaceutical ethanol at different concentrations suitable to the properties of the active ingredients to minimize the loss of volatile essential oils and increase the yield of bioactive compounds; and mixing the extracts to create a mixture of medicinal extracts. Simultaneously, the invention creates a separate stable cooling phase from menthol, camphor, and methyl salicylate in a defined sequence, combined with a controlled cooling step to minimize menthol recrystallization and increase the stability of the oil system.The stabilized cold phase is mixed with the herbal extract mixture under controlled temperature conditions, followed by homogeneous stirring, fine filtration, and sealed incubation before bottling. Thanks to the technical solution of creating and stabilizing the cold phase separately before mixing with the herbal extract, the resulting massage oil is able to create a rapid cooling sensation, with an onset in no more than 60 seconds, while maintaining its analgesic effect for at least 30 minutes, enhancing the effectiveness and stability of the preparation.
