Abstract
The invention proposes a method for determining the explosion point height of instantaneous explosive objects in real-world terrain, using passive optical measurement combined with digital image processing and a three-dimensional digital terrain model (DEM), allowing for accurate determination of the actual explosion point height of instantaneous explosive objects in the field. The system uses a minimum of two high-speed cameras positioned at multiple angles around the target area, with precisely synchronized exposure times of less than 1 microsecond via a PPS standard pulse from a GNSS satellite positioning system. When an explosion occurs, the system applies dynamic background subtraction and adaptive thresholding algorithms to automatically detect the initiating frame, extract the center of the explosion halo using a pixel energy weighting algorithm to eliminate errors due to smoke and glare. The 3D spatial coordinates of the explosion point are optimally calculated using the intersection of oblique vectors. Finally, this coordinate projection system is applied to a DEM model, using a bilinear interpolation algorithm to determine the actual ground elevation directly below the explosion point. This allows for the accurate calculation of the relative actual height of the explosion point, completely eliminating errors caused by the complex, hilly terrain.
