ADDITIVE COMPONENT FOR EXTENDING THE SETTING TIME OF CEMENT GROUT FOR OIL AND GAS WELL SEALING

Abstract

The invention relates to a setting time extender additive for oil and gas well cement grouting. The invention's composition uses three retarding components simultaneously: organic phosphonic acid salts (organic phosphonates), lignosulfonates, and borates, to take advantage of the strengths of each component and their synergistic effect. This composition effectively and uniformly extends the setting time of liquid form over a wide and high operating temperature range, such as 80 to 160°C. Specifically, the invention relates to a setting time extender additive for oil and gas well cement grouting consisting of (by mass percentage): - organic phosphonates in the amount of 5 to 7%, of which organic phosphonates have organic chains containing 2 to 4 carbon atoms; - calcium lignosulfonate in the amount of 8 to 12%; - borax in the amount of 2 to 4%; and - water with the remaining amount to make it 100%.
