Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the fabrication of modified biochar derived from spirulina microalgae biomass, which includes the following steps: a) raw material processing; b) raw material mixing; c) biochar fabrication; d) biochar modification by nitrogen doping into the structure. The process according to the invention is capable of producing biochar with a yield of 100 kg biochar / 200 kg biomass powder. Biochar samples have been successfully used to adsorb paracetamol and other compounds from synthetic wastewater. At the optimal biochar density of 40 mg / 20 mL wastewater, the adsorption efficiency reaches ~74% and the adsorption capacity reaches ~75 mg g-1.
