PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SLOW-RELEASE FERTILIZER FROM CHLORELLA SOROKINIANA BIOMASS FOR USE IN AGRICULTURAL SOIL IMPROVEMENT

Abstract

The invention relates to a process for synthesizing slow-release fertilizer from Chlorella sorokiniana microalgal biomass, which includes the following steps: a) raw material processing; b) raw material mixing; c) modified biochar preparation; d) slow-release fertilizer preparation from modified biochar. The process according to the invention is capable of producing a slow-release fertilizer with a yield of 500 kg of fertilizer / 500 kg of biomass powder. The composition of the slow-release fertilizer is determined to be C : N : P : K : Ca : O : Si = 45 : 9 : 6.5 : 8.5 : 2.5 : 10 : 18.5. The release capacity of the fertilizer in a pH = 6.5 environment indicates that 5-10% of N, P, and K have been released after 7 days, and after 60 days, the remaining N, P, and K content is > 40% of the initial content.
