Abstract

The invention's methods relate to electronic devices and methods for preventing message repetition. An electronic device is configured to generate presentation data and message identifier (ID) of a message, determining whether the presenting electronic device is available based on the device role of the electronic device, wherein the case the device role of the electronic device is secondary electronic device, delaying for a period AT', determining whether the message ID is in a list of message IDs, wherein the list of message IDs includes the message IDs of messages presented by the presenting electronic device, in response to determining that the message ID is not in the list of message IDs and the presenting electronic device is available, sending the message ID and presentation data to the presenting electronic device.
