Method for synthesizing pectin / Ag nano-antibacterial preparations from durian peel

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for synthesizing a pectin / Ag nano-antibacterial preparation from pectin extracted from durian peel, using this compound as a dual-action agent to both neutralize and protect the Ag nanoparticles. The synthesis process of the pectin / Ag nano-antibacterial preparation is carried out in an alkaline environment, under dark conditions and ambient temperature. The preparation exhibits antibacterial activity against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria at low concentrations and can be applied in the formulation of antibacterial gel-based topical creams.
