Abstract

The invention relates to a carpal tunnel endoscope with a flexor fascia cutting instrument, comprising: a handle attached perpendicular to the carpal tunnel endoscope, for facilitating surgical manipulation; a carpal tunnel endoscope with a hollowed-out central section and a longitudinal groove along the endoscope, forming a coaxial guide with an open groove for guiding an optical device including a light-emitting fiber optic cable and a camera through the endoscope, providing light through the groove along the endoscope and recording images at the points to be observed; and a flexor fascia cutting instrument positioned above and sliding on the carpal tunnel endoscope through the longitudinal groove so that flexor fascia cutting can be performed from images displayed by the optical device at that open groove.
