Abstract

The invention relates to a display device comprising a display area of ​​multiple sub-pixels. Each sub-pixel in the sub-pixels consists of a first light-emitting element, a second light-emitting element, and a pixel circuit connected in a common manner to the first and second light-emitting elements. The first cathode of the first light-emitting element and the second cathode of the second light-emitting element are separated. The supply voltages applied to the first and second cathode are varied according to the viewing angle control mode so that one of the light-emitting elements emits light for a wide viewing angle and the other emitter emits light for a narrow viewing angle. The configuration accepts electrical switching between wide and narrow viewing modes without the use of mechanical filters, thereby allowing the viewing angle to be adjusted with high image quality and brightness.
