Abstract
The invention proposes a hot melt adhesive composition comprising a thermoplastic polyether-ester block copolymer consisting of a rigid polyester fraction and a flexible polyether fraction. The rigid polyester fraction is made from the polyester product obtained by the alcoholylysis reaction of recycled polyethylene terephthalate. The rigid polyester fraction is present in an amount ranging from 75% to 85% by mass and the flexible polyether fraction is present in an amount ranging from 15% to 25% by mass of the total mass of the thermoplastic polyether-ester block copolymer, which is 100% by mass. The thermoplastic polyether-ester block copolymer has a Shore D hardness ranging from 35 to 50 and a melting point ranging from 90°C to 110°C. The proportion of recycled polyethylene terephthalate in the thermoplastic polyether-ester block copolymer is not less than 20% by mass. Hot melt adhesive membranes and shoe stiffening components have also been proposed.
