Abstract

The invention relates to a display device, an electronic device using a display device, and a method for constructing a display device. The display device comprises a substrate consisting of an emitting and a non-emitting region; a ridge structure arranged over the emitting region of the substrate with an overhang and an anode contact hole overlapping the emitting region through which it passes; a connecting electrode arranged between the substrate and the ridge structure in the overlapping portion of the anode contact hole; a first insulating layer arranged over the ridge structure, overlapping the anode contact hole and covering the side surface of the ridge structure; an anode electrode arranged on the first insulating layer; an anode smoothing layer arranged between the connecting electrode and the anode electrode in the overlapping portion of the anode contact hole; and a second insulating layer covering the edge of the anode electrode, defining the gap, and in contact with the first insulating layer.
