Abstract

The invention proposes a virtual sensing system and method for detecting flow rate degradation and abnormal hydraulic conditions of a pump without the use of physical flow sensors. The system and method acquire and process indirect signals reflecting the pump's operating state, including current, vibration, sound, or equivalent signals. Through a normal state learning phase, the system and method automatically identify reference characteristics and calculate the flow rate degradation index in real time, enabling early detection of abnormalities and supporting pump control and safety protection.
