Abstract
The invention relates to a M cell-targeting protein and a method for generating such protein; wherein the M cell-targeting protein is a recombinant protein comprising: i) a 12-amino acid M cell-targeting peptide (or PEP1 peptide) derived from the Hsp60 protein of B. abortus from the interaction region between the B. abortus Hsp60 predictor protein and the cellular prion receptor protein mPrPC (Cellular prion protein – PrPC) on M cells; and an antigen bound to the PEP1 peptide.
