Preparation process of a floating system containing levodopa and carbidopa

Abstract

This invention relates to a process for creating filaments using melt extrusion technology containing two pharmaceutical substances, levodopa and carbidopa, for holographic printing applications in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The drug delivery system containing levodopa and carbidopa, formulated using melt-deposited holographic printing technology, has a low density, is capable of floating on gastric fluid, and prolongs the release of the pharmaceutical substances. The drug delivery system formulated using holographic printing technology can flexibly adjust the structure and dosage unit, aiming to optimize individualized drug therapy.
