Abstract

The invention relates to a battery cell comprising an electrode assembly in which the first electrode, second electrode and separator are placed between them and wound around a winding axis, wherein the first electrode comprises a first uncoated portion not coated with active material at the long end in the winding direction and exposed outside the separator, and at least part of the first uncoated portion is used as a self-coated electrode ear; the battery case comprises an opening on one side and is constructed to contain the electrode assembly through the opening; the cell electrode is constructed to pass through a surface arranged on the opposite side of the opening of the battery case;and the current collector includes the first uncoated coupling located on one side of the electrode assembly and structured for welding to the first uncoated portion, the terminal coupling located away from the first uncoated coupling and structured for welding to the cell terminal, and the junction area located between the first uncoated coupling and the terminal coupling, in which the junction area includes evenly spaced slots along the circumference and is convex outward in the k-direction;
