Abstract
The invention proposes a handheld spray device based on nebulization technology for creating droplets containing stem cells. This device is characterized by its gun-like configuration and essentially comprises a stem cell solution pumping control assembly including a stem cell solution cylinder, cylinder holder, stepper motor, and screw; a gas supply and speed control assembly for supplying combined gas for stem cell droplet formation, including a high-pressure pump and motor controller for controlling the pump speed; a Y-shaped mixer to receive stem cell solution from the stem cell pumping control assembly and gas from the gas supply and speed control assembly; and a spray nozzle to receive the mixed solution from the Y-shaped mixer and spray it as droplets. The device according to the invention has the ability to adjust the speed of the micro-pump and high-pressure pump to regulate the spraying speed of the solution. Simultaneously, using high-pressure clean air, it can create stem cell mist particles with an average size of 100 to 200 μm. The stem cells have a high survival and growth rate after misting, suggesting that the device has the potential to support the treatment of open wounds and burns on the skin of patients.
