Structural solution: Steel beam and lightweight concrete slab reinforced with GFRP bars.

Abstract

The invention relates to a composite steel girder structure with lightweight concrete slab reinforced with GFRP bars. The steel girder structure is welded with round-bodied anchor bolts with caps. The lightweight concrete slab reinforced with GFRP bars is used to replace heavy concrete slabs and steel reinforcement as in conventional composite girder structures; this slab is rigidly connected to the steel girder structure to form a composite steel girder structure with lightweight concrete slab reinforced with GFRP bars. This structure can be effectively applied to lightweight urban overpasses due to its advantages of light weight, high environmental durability, and ease of rapid construction.
