STEERING WHEEL SWITCH DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING THIS DEVICE ON THE STEERING WHEEL

Abstract

The invention relates to a steering switch device such that the switch housing is fixed to the steering wheel of a vehicle, the switch body is attached to the switch housing and includes an operating switch, and the fixing element has a protrusion fitted into a pre-determined opening on the steering wheel and fastens the switch housing and switch body to the steering wheel. The switch body has a mounting part in which a screw hole is made into which a tightening screw is bolted. The fixing element is fitted to the mounting part in such a state that the protrusion fits snugly into the opening. The fixing element is pressed against the periphery of the steering wheel opening by the tightening force of the tightening screw against the mounting part to fasten the switch housing and switch body to the steering wheel.
