TWO-PHASE LIQUID COOLING PLATE

Abstract

The invention relates to a two-phase liquid-cooled plate comprising a base upon which a number of cooling fins are arranged such that the coolant path is defined between any two adjacent fins; a cover placed upon the base and provided with an inlet, outlet, and a connecting piece between the inlet and outlet for contacting the upper ends of the fins, such that a cavity is defined between the cover and the base and is accessible to the inlet and outlet; and flow-directing devices provided on the upper ends of the fins corresponding to the inlet for directing the coolant flow from the inlet to the cavity and then through the coolant path for uniform distribution within it. The flow-directing device also prevents air bubbles generated by the heated and vaporized coolant from flowing back to the inlet.
