Abstract

The invention relates to a method for preparing amorphous high-entropy alloy powders with high corrosion resistance, comprising the elements Al, Co, Ni, Cr, and Ti, where each element is a principal element with an atomic ratio ranging from 5% to 40%. Alloy powders are manufactured by high-energy mechanical grinding, preferably planetary ball milling in a toluene environment to minimize oxidation, with a ball mass / material mass ratio of not less than 50 and a grinding time of not less than 45 hours, thereby creating an amorphous structure accounting for at least 80% by mass, determined by X-ray diffraction. In a preferred scheme, when the atomic composition consists of Al 35%, Co 20%, Ni 20%, Cr 5%, and Ti 20%, the alloy powder achieves an amorphous structure greater than 90%, the corrosion rate can be less than 2 x 10-5 mm year-1 and the corrosion current intensity less than 2.4 x 10-9 A cm-2.
