SOLAR PANEL SUPPORT SYSTEMS ON IRRIGATION CANALS AND MULTI-PURPOSE IRRIGATION SYSTEMS USING THESE SUPPORT SYSTEMS

Abstract

The invention relates to a support system for solar panels installed on an irrigation canal and a multi-purpose energy irrigation system using this support system. The support system includes several arch-shaped girders (1) arranged along the canal route, support columns (2) arranged on both sides of the canal, purlins (6) connected to the arch-shaped girders and several solar panels installed on the purlins. According to a preferred implementation plan, each arch-shaped girder (1) is a hollow steel pipe composite girder filled with concrete inside to form a CFT girder to increase compressive and bending strength and allow large spans across the canal without the need for supporting columns in the canal. A horizontal bracing system (13) is arranged between the two girder legs to eliminate the lateral thrust of the arch structure. Power generation units are arranged along the canal route to form a distributed power generation network.
