Abstract

The invention proposes an actuator assembly for a camera module. The actuator assembly comprises a horizontal actuator for the movement of the image sensor of the camera module in one or more directions perpendicular to the optical axis of the camera module. The actuator assembly also comprises a vertical actuator for the movement of the image sensor in one or more directions parallel to the optical axis of the camera module. The actuator assembly further comprises a support frame holding a portion of the horizontal actuator and a portion of the vertical actuator. The support frame moves with the image sensor in one or more directions perpendicular to the optical axis of the camera module and is stationary relative to the movement of the image sensor in one or more directions parallel to the optical axis of the camera module.
