Plant growing medium pellets

Abstract

The invention relates to a growing medium consisting of: clay and mollusc shell powder mixed and shaped into pellets and heat-treated; and a 1% chitosan solution; wherein the mass ratio of clay to mollusc powder is between 3:1 and 4:1; wherein the heat-treated growing medium is soaked in a 1% chitosan solution for a maximum of 24 hours, and heat-treated at 60°C after soaking in the 1% chitosan solution for a maximum of 24 hours, and the resulting growing medium pellets are obtained.
