Abstract
The invention relates to a mechanism for joining two sections of the aircraft body (1, 2) in the form of a cylindrical tube, ensuring high coaxial accuracy and tightness. Each section of the body has a connecting flange (11, 21) protruding inward in the radial direction at the point of contact. Several connecting plates (3) are evenly distributed around the circumference of the joint, each plate having a groove (30) on the upper surface to simultaneously receive two connecting flanges (11, 21). At least one edge of the groove (30) and the corresponding edge of the connecting flange (11 or 21) are beveled, so that when tightening the bolts (31, 32) it will generate an axial tensile force, pressing the two connecting flanges together. Each connecting plate (3) is bolted first (31) to the first section of the body (1) and bolted second (32) to the second section of the body (2) through a sliding nut (34) located in the groove on the lower surface.
