Two-phase AC servo motor position control system

Abstract

The invention relates to a system for controlling the angular position of a two-phase AC servo motor. The angular position control system comprises functional blocks: a selsyn signal digitizer block, a digital control block, a control signal modulator block, and a digital-to-analog signal converter block. In this invention, the sliding mode controller is designed to: be robust against noise and uncertain parameters; provide good quality control even under varying load conditions; and eliminate chattering by replacing the sign function in the sliding mode controller with a saturation function.
