Abstract

This invention proposes a unified method for processing 4G and 5G signaling in a unified access network gateway, implemented on core network control components, to simultaneously receive and process signaling from eNodeBs (S1-AP – 4G) and gNodeBs (NGAP – 5G) on the same platform. The technical solution allows for resource sharing between the two technologies, eliminating duplication, reducing operating costs, and optimizing performance, while ensuring seamless signaling switching when the UE moves between 4G and 5G. The method includes the following steps: Step 1: Configuration data preparation; Step 2: Signaling message protocol detection; Step 3: Resource lookup; Step 4: Resource allocation and signaling processing.
