Abstract

The invention proposes a displacement-limiting clamp to reduce stress during airtightness testing. The top of the clamp is made of rigid plastic and reinforced with aluminum bars. The two sides of the clamp base have pins to hold the top of the clamp in place, creating a reaction force opposite to the direction of displacement of the plastic shell. This displacement limiting reduces stress on the plastic shell, completely eliminating the risk of fracture during airtightness testing.
