Abstract
The invention relates to fly ash concrete with an early strength-enhancing component, in which the concrete composition includes binder, aggregate, superplasticizer, strength-enhancing chemical admixture, and water. Fly ash concrete with a binder content of 20% to 40% by weight will achieve a minimum average compressive strength of 20 MPa to 40 MPa after 28 days of curing under standard conditions. Specifically, the concrete will show a 30% to 50% increase in compressive strength at 1 day and a 20% to 30% increase at 3 and 7 days compared to the same mix without the aforementioned chemical admixture.
