ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

Abstract

The invention relates to an antenna assembly comprising a flexible rod antenna with a mounting connector, a cable coupled to the mounting connector, a bottom coil of springs encircling the cable and coupled to the mounting connector, an adapter coupled to the cable, and a rod-shaped radiator coupled to the adapter. The mounting connector is coupled to the antenna's receiving end. The cable extends between the first end, which is connected end-to-end to the mounting connector, and the second end, which is connected end-to-end to the adapter. The bottom coil of springs encircles concentrically the first end of the cable and is connected end-to-end to the mounting connector. The rod-shaped radiator extends between the first end, which is connected end-to-end to the adapter, and the second end. The cable is flexible for moving the rod-shaped radiator relative to the mounting connector.
