METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR COUNTING MOVING VEHICLE TRAFFIC

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of intelligent traffic monitoring, specifically relating to a method and system for counting traffic flow on a road in which images of vehicles on the road are captured by two or more intelligent cameras (1) installed on either side of the road or sidewalk on mobile stands (3) of suitable height and easily movable. The vehicles in the images are identified by machine learning models, deep learning models and during the time that large vehicles are moving in the field of view of the intelligent cameras, the images captured by the intelligent cameras are used in combination to count the number of other vehicles obscured by the large vehicles.
