Abstract
This invention proposes a diverse twill knit fabric that mimics woven fabric, aiming to overcome the limitations of existing woven-style fabric solutions, which have a stiff feel, poor multi-directional elasticity, and lack the tactile feel of cotton. The invention applies a systematic innovation using a three-component synthetic fiber system consisting of combed short-staple cotton, T8 polyester, and spandex. The design utilizes the reverse side of the technology of a combined loop-forming and raised-strand structure, precisely woven on a large-width single-sided circular knitting machine with high needle size using the weft knitting method. Combined with low-temperature finishing and low tension, and stemming from the fabric's own structure, the invention creates a new fabric that simultaneously possesses the twill appearance of woven fabric and the softness, breathability, and multi-directional elasticity of knitted fabric, while maintaining the inherent comfort advantages of knitted fabric. It provides a visual effect mimicking woven fabric with a flat surface, distinct patterns, and stiff drape. The invention also proposes a process for producing diverse twill knitted fabrics that mimic woven fabrics.
