Abstract

The invention proposes a green and dark red emitting fluorescent powder of Mg0.3Zn0.7Al2O4 doped with Mn2+ and Mn4+ ions, and a process for preparing this fluorescent powder. This fluorescent powder is suitable for the fabrication of light-emitting diodes for plant growth or high-color rendering white light-emitting diodes. The process for preparing this fluorescent powder, as proposed in the invention, is an improved solid-phase reaction with a simple procedure, requiring no complex equipment, carried out under normal conditions, with high chemical repeatability, low cost, and without the use of toxic chemicals.
